In this study, a robust derivatization method with O-benzylhydroxylamine (marketing available) within 5 minutes in room temperature was established to simultaneously detect D-3-HB and L-3-HB in dog plasma using surrogate matrix. Better resolution, higher-throughput and simpler pretreatment, and an LLOQ of 10 ng/mL could be obtained.
