Proxylane(2-(2-hydroxypropyl)oxane-3,4,5-triol) is a kind of anti-aging activity component, similar to xylose and extracted from the beech tree. Due to its ability to promote the synthesis of collagen and the production of glucosaminoglycans(GAGs), it was widely used in cosmetics industry to make the skin stronger and more elastic, and to reduce the fine lines on the neck. Due the high hydrophilic property, it is difficult to be retain by reversed phase chromatography. Currently, amino column is often used for hydrophilic compounds, but its pH tolerance range is narrow, and its service life is short. In present study, we developed a rapid, sensitive, and reproducible LC-MS/MS method to determine proxylaneby hypercarbcolumn for in vitro release testing (IVRT).
